Get ready for a thrilling season of Great Lakes Legends Series Powered by Freshstone racing in 2025! We are pleased to announce our schedule for the upcoming season on the dirt and asphalt.

There is one more race tentatively set, and we will announce that date later. We will be starting our season off at the Motorama show in Toronto on March 7th, 8th, and 9th. Mark those dates on your calendar, and come on out and see our 2024 champions car and a couple of other cars on display. Grab a schedule and some swag.
We will wrap our season up on Saturday, November 15 at our annual awards banquet…..

As 2025 approaches, we have some exciting news regarding the 2025 Great Lakes Legends Series Powered by Freshstone Brands season!

Great Lakes Legends Powered by Freshstone Brands will be partnering with … Spartan Sling Mfg. for the Spartan Sling Dirt Classic at Buxton Speedway on Saturday, July 12th.

We will also be running our Road Course Race event at Grand Bend Speedway on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, Sept 21st. We will be announcing our partnership for the road event soon.

Definitely mark these dates on your calendar for some fantastic Legend racing….. Please check back soon for the release of the full schedule!

Austin Arnel Clinches 2024 Season Championship at Peterborough Speedway

After an exciting weekend of racing at Peterborough Speedway, the 2024 Great Lakes Legends Series Powered by Freshstone Brands has concluded. Congratulations to Austin Arnel for winning the season championship with 1,225 points! Arnel controlled the top of the standings throughout the season, and earned his first well-deserved GLLS title. Cole McFadden had another strong race to win at Peterborough Speedway for his second consecutive win, but Arnel’s lead was too much to overcome!

Also, a shoutout to Mitch Wright, who won the Autumn Colours feature race and Keaton Pipe for capturing the Non-Winners race! Wright was able to capture the Ontario Legends Car Series at Peterborough Speedway this weekend.

We cannot thank all the teams and their families and fans for the support they showed this Thanksgiving weekend. With the two series coming together once again, the racing was excellent. And again, none of this would be possible without the huge support from all the sponsors to come together each week to make these events happen …Thank You ..

The Great Lakes Legends Powered by Freshstone Brands is proud to be racing at Peterborough Speedway this weekend!
The weekend-long event is in conjunction with our friends at the Ontario Legends Series. The weather forecast looks fantastic, so we are looking forward to some terrific Legends Car racing. Please find the pit notes for this weekend here.

Following another thrilling year of racing, the Great Lakes Legends Series Powered by Freshstone Brands is proud to announce the 2024 Great Lakes Legends Series Awards Banquet! Find all the details for the big event in Chatham, ON, below:

Date: Saturday, November 23
Location: John D Bradley Convention Centre at 575 Richmond St. Chatham, Ontario (Besides Cascades Casino)
Cost: $50 (e-transfer to shrevea109@gmail.com)
Accommodations: Holiday Inn & Suites (beside the John D Bradley Convention Centre)

A block of rooms has been saved for the Great Lakes Legends Series. Prices are located below. Please use the code “GLL” when you call to book the room (519-351-1100). Banquet rates are available before November 2nd.

Tickets can be purchased by emailing us at greatlakeslegends@outlook.com. Please leave your name and amount of tickets you need, which can be picked up at the door. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway this upcoming weekend.

We hope to see everyone there! Tickets are limited, so please order early. There are plenty of door prizes, great music, and cold drinks available!

The Great Lakes Legends Series Powered by Freshstone Brands is hitting the dirt this weekend! We are happy to announce that we’ll be back at Buxton Speedway for an exciting night of racing on the dirt track. Come out and support some great racing at one of the most thrilling dirt tracks in Canada.

Drivers you will be allowed to make these changes to your car if you wish to
Raise the ride height 2”
You can run shock covers
If you have dirt tires, you may run them if you do not we will be letting you groove your used asphalt Hoosiers
This is a points race!
